Bandoengan - I am busy organising Rose's sewing and craft cupboard. Then I get word that a truck has pulled up in front of the mantri (?)!!! And a bus!!! Internments - so fast, all like in a film. The boys Thomas, Fabius, Family ter Berg and others. Later another truck and bus turn up. Family O'Hearne, Hans v.d. Paling, Meinderts Freeling - I go in to the garden to have a look - and I am also invited!!!. Not allowed to go back home and at the Police Station I hear that the girls are already in camp St Lewis. We arrive there in driving rain - a long wait - I haven't got time to think - but I have my children back!!!!. Thank God!. the welcome from the ladies is heartwarming.
